EPICONDYLITIS (Golfer’s Elbow)

Golfers Elbow

Epicondylitis is a condition where the tendons and muscles around the elbow get inflamed. This happens because of overuse, particularly when playing a lot of sport.

There are two types: “Tennis Elbow” (lateral epicondylitis) and “Golfer’s Elbow” (medial epicondylitis). Tennis Elbow affects the outer part of the elbow, while Golfer’s Elbow affects the inner part. Both conditions cause severe pain and can disrupt your enjoyment of playing.

Symptoms of Golfers Elbow

  • Tenderness at the inner or outer elbow
  • Pain or difficulty hinging your wrists in the backswing
  • Weakened grip strength
  • Pain or burning in the forearm and fingers

Treatment

Treatment includes ice, physical therapy exercise (strengthening) steroids, corticosteroid injections, ultrasound acupuncture or dry needling laser therapy. A wrist or elbow support can also help when you’re out on the course.

Golfers Elbow Treatment

Pain Relief

This is where we come in to keep you playing golf while treatment is undertaken. Golfers CBD Performance cream is the first transdermal CBD cream in the UK. The cream is applied topically but unlike other CBD creams which interact with receptors in your skin, ours penetrates the surface of the skin and enters the bloodstream at the site of pain.

Outlook

Epicondylitis can usually be managed with non-surgical treatments and rarely requires surgery. With Golfers CBD Performance cream we hope to keep you playing pain free until your injury is successfully treated.
